Privacy policy
The short version: Sporløs collects nothing, and it's built to remember nothing.
Updated 10 October 2026.
In short
Sporløs collects no data. It has no analytics, no ads, no account, no tracking, no third-party code and no server of its own. I can't see what you do in the app, and nobody else can through it.
Web pages
Pages you open are fetched directly from the sites you visit, over your own internet connection. Nothing passes through a server of mine. As with any browser, those sites, your network and your internet provider can see your traffic. Sporløs is not a VPN.
Searches
What you type in the address bar stays on your device until you tap Go. Then it goes to the search engine you chose (DuckDuckGo by default) as an ordinary search on that site, which has its own privacy policy. Sporløs fetches no search suggestions, so nothing is sent while you type.
Tracker and ad blocking
The list of trackers and ads is built into the app, and the blocking happens on your device. Nothing about the pages you visit is sent anywhere to be checked.
What's stored on your device
Your browsing lives in memory only: history, cookies, cache and site data are never written to storage, and they disappear when you forget or the app closes. The only things Sporløs saves are your settings (such as the search engine and what you've switched on) and two counters, trackers blocked and times forgotten, used for a fun line in Settings. They never leave the device, and deleting the app deletes them.
Face ID and passcode
If you turn on the lock, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode. Sporløs only learns whether it worked and never sees your face or your passcode.
Camera and microphone
Sporløs uses the camera or microphone only when a web page asks for them, for example for a video call, and you allow it. What they capture goes to that page, not to Sporløs.
Supporter
If you become a supporter, Apple handles the purchase through the App Store. I never see your payment details, and Sporløs collects no data about it.
